Bkaha Ceramics

Rebecca is a Cornish based ceramicist who evolved Bkaha Ceramics from a background of textile design where surface pattern and texture were paramount, taking this attention for detail and applying it to clay. Most recently Rebecca undertook training in early medieval archaeology, and now combines her love of human stories, history, and fine detail to create interesting pieces of ceramics that are completely unique.

Emily Kate Henshall

Emily Kate Henshall is a multimedia illustrator and artist who creates beautifully designed products, ranging from greetings cards and art prints, to acrylic 3D mobiles, ceramics, and stationery. Deeply inspired by British wildlife and the natural world, her work is richly adorned with vibrant flora and fauna drawn from both memory and imagination. Through her art, animal characters take on a whimsical, nostalgic quality, brought to life with expressive features and playful charm.

Julia Crimmen Ceramics

With the encouragement of my family, I returned to education and studied a foundation diploma in Art and Design at Falmouth University in 2006. I enjoyed the course so much, and it was just what I needed to give my work direction. My final piece was a collection of vessels with embossed designs inspired by my life drawing classes, and my love of ceramics had begun.

After Falmouth, I found a general ceramics course at Truro college and then took part in intensive courses with Jack Doherty, Richard Phethean and Linda Bloomfield, which informed my practice hugely.

Now, more than sixteen years on, working from my garden studio and taking inspiration from my countryside surroundings, I design and make wheel thrown stoneware ceramics for every day use.  I use simplified stencils and and wax to build up pattern and texture, adding rich glossy glazes to enhance these details.

The blue and white, and natural colours are drawn from my love of the Cornish Coast and the hedgerows I see around my home.

Alongside my thrown work, I also create small collectible animal sculptures. Each one has its own individual character, and these subtle differences make each piece unique.

Kosel Candles

I’m Lisa, the founder and maker behind Kosel.

Kosel is Cornish for calm — and that little word has become the heart of everything I create.

I make candles and home fragrance inspired by the quiet rituals woven into our everyday lives; the moments we take to pause, breathe, reset and come back to ourselves.

For me, it’s never been just about making something that smells beautiful. It’s about creating a little pocket of time. A flickering flame at the end of a long day. A familiar scent that brings you back to somewhere. A few quiet minutes that belong only to you.

Each piece is made slowly, thoughtfully and by hand, with the hope that when you light a Kosel candle, you’re not simply lighting a candle — you’re creating a moment of calm.

Lou Tonkin

Lou Tonkin is a printmaker producing lino cut prints & homewares which are inspired almost exclusively by nature, our community & the beautiful environment she is surrounded by in her home county of Cornwall near Falmouth & is a quiet celebration of her rural adventures.

Lou’s work focuses on movement, tone and texture, to allow you to feel like you are there with the subject & feeling the connection to the  wild elements in that moment.

‘Knowing where the wild orchids & wood anemones grow each year, where the song thrushes choose to go for their supper & the best hedgerows for when you really wish to share part of your walk with a wren is everything to me’ communicating this love of nature is the foundation of Lou’s work process.

Rikke Digerud Art

Rikke is a Norwegian mixed media artist working from her studio in Wadebridge, Cornwall. She draws inspiration from the landscapes, colours, and visual culture of her homeland, as well as from regular visits to Australia. As a Norwegian living in Britain journeys continuously enrich Rikke’s creative practice, bringing new perspectives and influences into her work.

Colour, pattern and design are at the heart of Rikke’s artistic language. Her handmade decorative papers and embellishments are combined through collage to create layered compositions that celebrate texture, rhythm, and the unexpected relationships between shapes and surfaces. Her portfolio includes Scandinavian inspired framed originals, miniature artworks as earrings and embellished textile pouches using vintage fabrics. Her earrings are available at the Tate St Ives shop, where she is also a gallery assistant.

Saskia Silver Designs

Saskia McLean is a Cornwall-based artist and jewellery maker, creating colourful artwork and hand-crafted silver pieces inspired by the coast, wildlife and natural beauty of Cornwall.

A Falmouth University Textile Design graduate, Saskia’s work is full of colour, intricate detail and playful patterns. Her vibrant watercolour artwork is transformed into prints, cards and homeware, while her jewellery is handmade in recycled silver, with organic shapes inspired by shells, pebbles, flowers and the landscape around her.

Her work is all about bringing a little bit of Cornwall, colour and joy into everyday life.

Sharon Bruster

Sharon is a coastal artist in Padstow. Her practice includes painting, drawing and printmaking as well as cameraless photography. Daily walks on her local beaches and coastpaths inspire her expressive and abstract work. Everything starts with walking and looking, gathering images and ideas, feelings and experiences which are brought back to the studio to be remembered and explored. Exploration is at the heart of Sharon’s approach – with each series of work, she investigates new ways to express her memories and feelings in paint and ink. Sharon’s mission is to bring the coast to you – memories of beach walks and rockpooling, the smell of salt air and feel of seaspray on your face. The wild and natural untamed beauty. Moments of calm in busy lives.
