A series of free creative workshops will explore the personal, social and environmental realities of living with damp.

September–November 2025: Artist, plumber and retrofit consultant Sovay Berriman presents Damp Stories, a series of free art and conversation workshops exploring the experience of living with damp and the wider issues connected to housing, climate, environment and energy efficiency.
The workshops will offer participants a creative and welcoming space to share experiences, ideas and stories around a subject that affects many households but is often difficult to talk about.

Workshop Dates:

Saturday 26 September, 2pm–4pm, ALMA Artspace
Thursday 22 October, 11am–1pm
Museum of Cornish Life, Helston
Thursday 5 November,11am–1pm
Kresen Kernow

All workshops are free, booking essential.

The workshops use collage, painting and drawing as prompts for conversation and reflection. Participants will be invited to explore their own experiences of damp, while considering the wider social and environmental factors that shape how we live in and heat our homes.

The sessions are aimed at adults but are open to everyone.
Photographs will be taken but faces will be avoided.
