CKA x Krowji: Project Space Open Call 3

July 28, 2026

Creative Kernow Associates and Krowji invite applications for a project space in Redruth for artists seeking somewhere to develop a project outside their usual working environment.

Deadline: 11am on Monday 24th August

What does this opportunity offer?

This opportunity offers artists at any stage in their career one months’ use of a north-facing, 545sq ft space at Krowji with 24/7 access. You are welcome to apply individually, in a pair, or as a group.

At the end of the project space period (7th September to 2nd October 2026), Creative Kernow’s Krowji Showcase is taking place throughout the building, and you are welcome to hold an event of your choosing as part of the event (e.g. exhibition/workshop/performance).

The space can come with chairs, tables and easels but can also be left empty if preferred. Electricity and Wi-Fi are included.

About Krowji

Krowji is Cornwall’s largest creative hub, providing studio space to a vibrant community of artists and makers in Redruth. This project space offers a unique opportunity to work in a professional studio environment and engage with the Krowji community.

About Creative Kernow’s Krowji Showcase

Creative Kernow’s Krowji Showcase invites audiences to Krowji for a special two-day celebration of the wonderful artists, makers and creative businesses that Creative Kernow works with. The showcase will take place on 2nd and 3rd October 2026.

Krowji tenants will open their studio doors, allowing visitors to explore behind the scenes and see their work. CKA members will be featured in a Micro Market, and Creative Kernow’s Culture and Place team will be organising Fun Palace workshops – free, family friendly, accessible skills sharing sessions run by Krowji’s tenants.

Krowji’s open studio events regularly attract hundreds of visitors from across Cornwall and beyond, making this a fantastic opportunity to introduce your work to new audiences, connect with other local creatives and be part of this celebration of Cornwall’s creative community.

Project Space dates

The space is available between Monday 7th September and Friday 2nd October 2026. You will have 24/7 access to the studio during this time.

Who is it for?

This project space is aimed at artists at any stage in their career who have ideas they want to experiment with or develop but currently lack the space to do so.

All creative disciplines are welcome (within Krowji Tenant H&S Rules & Regulations 2022).

Applications are open to individuals and groups.
