Creative Kernow Associates (CKA) is a legacy of our hugely successful EU-funded Cultivator programme (2017 – 2023).
With a principle of building a more sustainable model that’s tailored to the needs of the creative and cultural sectors in Cornwall in mind, we consulted over 100 creative practitioners and cultural organisations in the last 12 months and fundraised to launch our pilot members programme in autumn 2024.
This pre-launch website lists some of the early opportunities of our pilot programme. More information and membership sign up will be available when we launch our website fully.
We welcome feedback and new ideas that we could explore, and we continue to fundraise to expand on our programme.
CKA is run by a small part-time team:
Tonia Lu – Tonia has worked as the Visual Art & Craft specialist advisor on the Cultivator programme for the last 6 years, supporting over 200 practitioners, businesses and organisations. With a background in curating and festival production, she is also the director of Flamm festival.
Tonia leads on the programme development for CKA, and is always looking to work collaboratively to provide more opportunities to CKA members. Tonia is also the lead advisor for our one-to-one support.
Anna Harris – Anna is an artist and creative practitioner who has worked on projects with creative organisations across Cornwall including Tate St Ives, CAST, and the Eden Project. She also co-hosts the podcast Down to a Fine Art, which is a platform for informal and critical discussion focusing on the creative community in the South West.
Anna manages the members’ resources, newsletters and social media as well as providing wider support across the programme.
