I’m delighted to announce that I have recently been honoured with a DYCP (Develop Your Creative Practice) Award from the Arts Council. Hooray! During my studies towards a Masters in Creative Practice I’ve been creating a new career for myself bringing accessible music opportunities to disadvantaged people via the joyful and playful ukulele and kazoo. I am also collaborating on a unique ukulele-based comedy musical. The grant will fund an ambitious period of R&D to enable exploration of the potential of the ukulele and kazoo for musical theatre and workshop applications.
