Hello Associates,
My name is Aaron Moore, and I’m delighted to have recently joined Creative Kernow Associates. I’m really looking forward to connecting with new people across the region and sharing the work I do.
I’m a maker of many kinds of “things” — from furniture and cargo bikes to wind turbines — all with the aim of creating a positive impact for both people and the environment. My practice is rooted in digital fabrication, using tools such as a laser cutter, CNC router, CNC milling machine, and 3D printers. I believe small-scale, distributed manufacturing has a vital role in building more resilient and sustainable communities.
To support this, I run a monthly Maker Space in my workshop (usually on the second Saturday of each month). These sessions are open to anyone interested in learning how to use digital fabrication tools, and I keep them accessible by making contributions optional.
The Maker Space has been running for nearly a decade, and I’m now looking for volunteers to help expand its reach. In exchange for free access to machines and training, support is welcomed with admin, promotion, preparation, and session running.
I’d love to hear from anyone interested!
