Built to Last was a series of workshops in the summer of 2026 designed to help artists and creatives build a practice that is both personally and financially sustainable.

Bringing together artists and specialists from across the creative and cultural sector, the programme explored practical approaches to developing a resilient creative practice. Sessions covered topics including fundraising, income generation, financial management, working with museums and heritage organisations, and building relationships with local authorities.

Hosted online and at venues across Cornwall, Built to Last offered practical advice, real-world insights and opportunities to connect with peers and experienced practitioners. The series encouraged participants to think strategically about their careers, equipping them with the knowledge, confidence and connections to sustain a creative practice over the long term.
