The climate crisis is often described as a crisis of imagination. But what if your writing could be part of the solution?
This workshop is for writers of all genres who want to explore climate and ocean themes without being overwhelmed by them. Whether you write fiction, memoir, poetry or something else entirely, this session will help you discover your unique entry point into climate writing.
We’ll move from anxiety to agency, exploring how writers and artists can respond meaningfully to our time of crisis. Through discussion, freewriting, and creative exercises, we’ll explore how climate writing isn’t just dystopian fiction and doom-laden warnings. It can take as many forms as there are writers.
